The Lobster Shack Information

Stepping into The Lobster Shack at 40 South Pointe Dr #104, Miami Beach, you immediately feel the breezy, coastal vibe that sets the tone for a casual yet satisfying seafood experience. The menu leans heavily into fresh, flavorful lobster dishes, from buttery lobster rolls to hearty lobster mac and cheese, and each plate arrives with a sense of care that shows the kitchen takes its craft seriously. Beyond lobster, there’s a nice range of seafood options, including shrimp, crab, and seasonal catches, giving visitors plenty of choices whether they’re craving something rich or light. The portions are generous, making it easy to leave feeling completely satisfied without having to order a dozen extra sides.

The location right near the beach makes it a perfect spot for both locals and tourists looking to enjoy a relaxed meal with a view, and the interior mirrors that easygoing charm with simple, clean décor that doesn’t distract from the food itself. Service tends to be friendly and attentive, with staff ready to explain menu items or offer suggestions for pairing with sides and drinks. Reviews frequently mention the warmth and consistency of the team, adding to the overall welcoming atmosphere.

One of the standout experiences here is the emphasis on freshness-lobster is served at its peak, perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the accompanying sides, whether fries, slaw, or seasonal vegetables, feel thoughtfully prepared rather than an afterthought. The casual, almost beach shack-style presentation makes it approachable, but the quality of ingredients and careful preparation elevate the dining experience well above typical fast-casual seafood spots. The balance between indulgent comfort food and fresh, clean flavors is what keeps people coming back, and it’s easy to see why regulars praise both the menu variety and the reliable quality.

Whether you’re grabbing a quick lunch after a morning on the sand or settling in for a leisurely dinner with friends, The Lobster Shack manages to feel both lively and relaxed. Its combination of prime location, consistent service, and well-executed seafood offerings makes it a memorable stop in Miami Beach’s dining scene, especially for anyone with a soft spot for lobster done right.

What People's Say About Place

We had a fantastic experience at The Lobster Shack. The three of us had the 1.5 lb. Maine lobsters, which were alive when we ordered them and perfectly cooked. For $36 it comes with a side; we had different ones, and they were all delicious. Yes, an 18% service charge is built in, but it was some of the best service I've ever experienced - delightful, sweet, and helpful. The weather was perfect and we sat outside. Great vibe, great food at this restaurant.

Food is great. Ambiance is casual, offer seating inside and outside. Lobster bisque was really good. Service is itself was good, however when they brought the check it was not itemized and only included one number for total, which is odd and on top of it while total already included 18% service charge (I asked to confirm) it still offered options of 15%, 20% gratuity, which is a deceptive practice in my opinion.

We had the servant, turf burger, lobster bisque, and Cajun lobster roll. Everything was amazing! Staff is incredible! Probably gonna eat here again tomorrow just because! Also don’t sleep on the Mojito. It was stellar! Don’t walk run to hear.

Been visiting this location since 2018 when I used to visit Fl on vacations. In 2021 I moved down to South Fl, and it has since become a spot in Miami I bring all my family too when they now come to visit me. If you want good, flavorful, and stuffed lobster rolls, this is the place to come too. Pricing is on high side, but you get what you pay for, a loaded lobster, or crab roll, well with very dollar. We usually all order one roll with a side each, and take our food outside to sit. It's nostalgic for us, and we enjoy coming here time and time again. The staff are always friendly and welcomes us right away, with taking our orders. After the meal, the water isn't too far from the restaurant so it's always nice to go sit by the edge and take in the beautiful Miami views.

Food and value are great, the restaurant and tables themselves are very simple. Service was quick and kind, no issues to split a check. If you're in southbeach, location is fantastic, not too busy and quiet.

My daughter and I LOVED the lobster roll here! We both got the warm, butter option and it was absolute perfection. And the lobster bisque is an absolute show stopper! Location is great- close to the beach.

Five stars isn't enough when I say they load you up, they load you up. The lobster mac and cheese was fantastic and had big old pieces of fresh lobster in it. The lobster rolls are fantastic and the beer selection is great. We tried another restaurant down the street and we're there for 30 minutes before somebody even talked to us so we decided to leave and hit up the lobster shack. Somebody was at our table within 30 seconds what a great experience If you're in the Miami Beach area check this place out

Friendly owner, stellar lobster rolls and plenty of seafood. Crab dip and natural lobster rolls with some butter on the side. Thank youuu.
